Definitions
Long split - where the eyebrows extend down the length of the nose but are trimmed to separate between the eyes. The part of the eyebrow that crosses the outside corner of the eye can be trimmed shorter so the dog can see.
Short split – where the eyebrows are trimmed short. The eyebrows are separated by removing the hair between them. Some breeds have short hairs on the bridge of the nose that are left in place to form only a slight definition between the eyebrows.
Centre fall – where the eyebrow extends well down the foreface towards the nostril and is not separated between the eyes. The side of the eyebrow, the bit crossing the eye, can be trimmed shorter so the dog can see more clearly.
Flag Tail – Is the natural shape for many silk and double coats that have furnishings but it can be styled into any coat that has enough length. It takes its description from the triangular shape of the pennant flag.
